- Definition
- What is your pricing model?: "With Atera, you only pay per technician. A technician can support an unlimited number of customers, who have an unlimited number of devices." "Keep in mind that for anyone who needs access to the Atera console, a technician license is required, regardless of the role that they have." Terms of Use §12.1: the Fees for Subscriptions "are based on the number of Permitted Users designated in the Order Form"; Permitted Users are the Admins, technicians and other Account users an Admin adds (§3.1).
- Counting rules
- Count every individual who logs in to the Atera console, whatever their role (Admin, technician or other Permitted User); End-Users using the customer or service portal, tickets or end-user AI features are not counted. Each login may be used by one individual only (Terms §3.2, §5.3). Devices, sites and customers are not counted. The full Order Form quantity is payable even if fewer technicians log in (Terms §12.1). Seats added mid-cycle are prorated; seat reductions take effect at the next billing cycle, or for annual plans must be made more than 60 days before renewal (Manage Atera subscription; Subscription FAQ). A technician removed and replaced within the same billing cycle is charged twice unless the departing technician is deactivated first.
- Floors / minimums
- No published minimum number of technicians. Per-technician usage must stay within "reasonable use", including the number of devices handled per Permitted User (Terms §5.3). All licences in one account must be on the same plan and billing period (Atera subscription information).
