The LICENSEWARE Wiki will open to community editing in stages. Licensing practitioners, SAM managers, auditors and vendor specialists on the waiting list get invited first, starting with the vendors they know best.
What Early Contributors Do
- Review vendor articles and catalog rows in your area before they are marked Cited.
- Add sources: price lists, product terms and policy pages the catalog is missing.
- Write articles for the products your team keeps asking about.
Contributions are credited in each article’s history. The wiki stays free to read and educational only, with no product promotion.

- Vendor price lists, product terms, contracts and license definition booklets
- Official vendor policy pages (virtualization, cloud, partitioning)
- Corrections with the exact vendor wording and its effective date
- Worked examples on encyclopedia pages, labelled as commentary
Not Accepted
- Blogs, analyst recaps, forum posts or “we always counted it this way”
- Product promotion, discount codes or sales calls to action
- Rules without an effective date
- Hardware catalogs, CVEs or HAM data (software licensing only)
