- Fortinet Service Terms s.5.1: "Service Contracts may apply only to a single unit of Product or Support Portal account(s) as described in the relevant service description. i.e. each unit of Product will require its own separate Service Contract to receive Service." A Product is "any Hardware with associated Software including Product Bundles, or stand-alone Software which is covered by a Service Contract" (s.1.11).
- Counting rules
- One FortiCare and one FortiGuard Service Contract per registered serial number; ordering guides express hardware SKUs by model code (for example FC-10-0060F-950-02-DD for a FortiGate 60F UTP bundle). Using a contract on a unit other than the one it was registered to is a material breach (s.5.1). Each FortiGate in an HA cluster needs its own contracts, except the single-licence vSN arrangement for 40F to 100F active-passive pairs bought with the HA SKU.
