The classic products are counted per Authorized User (Designer, one user on one personal computer) and per physical Core (Server, one server per licence) and activated by license key. Since May 2025 Alteryx One packages them into Starter, Professional and Enterprise editions, with Full, Basic and Viewer user roles and a shared pool of automation runs.
