- License Metrics s.2.2: "Core" means an individual physical processor within a computer's central processing unit ("CPU") that receives and executes commands. s.2.3: hyper-threading and similar technologies that expose logical cores are ignored.
- Counting rules
- A Core-Based License may be installed on one server only, and the total Cores made available to each installation must not exceed the permitted number on the Order Form. Each physical processor counts as one Core regardless of hyper-threading. Additional server CPU cores are separate license keys activated alongside the Server base licence.
- Floors / minimums
- Cores per installation capped at the Order Form quantity; one server per Core-Based License.
