- Seat types: "A Provisional Member gets the same full access as a Member, but at no cost and until the end of the current billing cycle." Assigned automatically when a user takes a first qualifying action without an assigned Member seat.
- Counting rules
- Triggered by the combination of a sharing permission and an action beyond the current seat type (internal users: editing or creating on a core item; Guests: creation actions only). At the end of each billing cycle, Provisional Members are downgraded to Contributor or Guest by default, or upgraded to paid Members if the plan setting says so. A user can be a Provisional Member only once.
- Floors / minimums
- Free for at least 30 days (help article) or until the end of the current billing cycle (Seat types article); 2025 product update describes a 90-day period. Review periods are quarterly on annual plans and monthly on monthly plans.
