- Definition
- Throughput that a NetScaler instance is licensed to process, checked out of a bandwidth pool or fixed by a bandwidth licence. The Flexed and Pooled documents express it in Mbps for VPX, CPX and BLX and in Gbps for MPX and SDX.
- Counting rules
- A NetScaler instance checks out bandwidth from the pool of the edition it is licensed for; it cannot hold bandwidth from different pools concurrently. Check-outs are integer multiples of the minimum bandwidth unit: 10 Mbps for CPX, BLX and VPX, 1 Gbps for MPX and SDX. A single CPX instance up to 1 Gbps draws only an instance licence and no bandwidth.
- Floors / minimums
- Each platform has a minimum bandwidth below which it does not operate (for example MPX 5900Z 1 Gbps, MPX 14000Z 20 Gbps, VPX 10 Mbps in the Flexed tables; LAS FAQ states a starting minimum of 20 Mbps for VPX, CPX and BLX) and a maximum (for example VPX on VMware ESXi 100 Gbps, on AWS 30 Gbps).
