- Definition
- An MPX-Z or SDX-Z appliance cannot function until it checks resources out of the bandwidth pool. A Z-cap (zero capacity platform) licence is installed on the hardware to let it participate in Flexed or Pooled licensing.
- Counting rules
- The Z-cap licence is installed using the hardware serial number or licence access code, is locked to that hardware and cannot be shared on demand, but it can be moved manually to another appliance. With LAS-based licensing Z-cap licences are not needed.
- Floors / minimums
- One Z-cap licence per participating MPX or SDX appliance.
- Applies to products
