- Definition
- Software Subscription Agreement s.1.1 and s.2.1: for a subscription designated "Named User-Based", the count of Authorized Users is limited to the maximum number of individual users purchased, each identified by a unique user ID. An Authorized User is "a uniquely named individual and natural person" who is the customer's employee, an employee of an entity more than 50% owned, an employee of a Contractor, or a student, faculty member or teacher for Academic Purposes.
- Counting rules
- Count each person assigned a Product Role in the Minitab License Portal. Each Authorized User needs a unique user ID and password (unless using SSO); alias or departmental IDs are not allowed except for the License Administrator, who must assign themselves a licence to use the software. Credentials may not be shared and may be reassigned only once in any 90-day period, except for personnel changes. One named user subscription covers both the desktop app and the web app.
