- Definition
- OnBase documentation describes the named-user licence by behaviour: "Subject to licensing limits, license is assigned to the user on login, and the user assignment persists after logout." The OnBase Client legacy licensing page lists "Named User Client" as one of the three Client licences.
- Counting rules
- Assigned to a user manually or dynamically through a User Group; a dynamically assigned licence is revoked on the next login after the licence is de-associated from the group, while manually assigned licences remain. When several licences of one family are listed for a group, availability is checked in the order workstation, named-user, concurrent.
