AnyDesk plans, users, connections and devices

This article covers the AnyDesk Solo, Standard, Advanced and Ultimate plans and the units that size them: licensed users, concurrent connections, registered and managed devices, address books and add-ons. For the contract see AnyDesk Terms & Conditions; for the free version see AnyDesk free version and commercial use.

AnyDesk plans are the four paid licence models that AnyDesk Software GmbH sells for business use of its remote desktop software: Solo, Standard, Advanced and Ultimate. All are annual subscriptions.[1] The Terms & Conditions grant a right to use the software “with the contractually agreed number of users and/or end devices and/or concurrent connections” and refer to the pricing page for the license models.[17] In practice a plan is defined by four independent limits: the number of licensed users, the number of simultaneous outgoing connections, the number of managed devices reachable by Unattended Access, and the number of address books. A software asset manager has to track each limit separately, because exceeding any one of them is overuse. Catalog proof: Licence is non-exclusive, non-transferable and limited to contracted quantities.

Editions

Solo

AnyDesk Solo is “a single-user license for self-employed business professionals and IT specialists”. It includes one licensed user, one simultaneous outgoing connection, three licensed devices to start a connection from, unlimited devices to connect to through Interactive Access, up to 100 managed devices, and no add-ons.[2] The pricing page lists Solo at EUR 28.90 per month billed annually and describes its connection as “not scalable”.[1] Its address book holds up to 100 entries, with no company address books.[8] Under the Service Level Agreement, Solo customers get support only through the Help Center.[16] Catalog proof: Solo allows three registered devices and no add-ons; Solo support is Help Center only.

Standard

AnyDesk Standard is aimed at small and medium-sized teams, including IT departments and managed service providers. It allows up to 20 licensed users and one simultaneous outgoing connection by default. The Help Center says “up to 19 more can be purchased as an add-on”, and the plan includes up to 500 managed devices.[2] The pricing page lists Standard at EUR 49.90 per month for one connection, billed annually, with add-on connections at EUR 44.90 each per month, and states that it can “Scale up to 20 with add-on connections”.[1] Standard includes six address books (one personal and five shared), user management in my.anydesk, a custom-branded client, file transfer, session recording and privacy mode.[1]

Advanced

AnyDesk Advanced “includes the full set of business features”. It allows up to 100 licensed users and two simultaneous outgoing connections by default, with “up to 48 more” as add-ons, and up to 1,000 managed devices.[2] The pricing page lists it at EUR 107.90 per month for two connections, billed annually, scalable to 50 connections. Advanced adds role management, the command-line interface, MSI mass deployment, Windows Group Policy, mobile device management support, live phone support and 16 address books (one personal and 15 shared).[1]

Ultimate and On-Premises

AnyDesk Ultimate is “a fully customizable license designed for enterprise businesses” and can be hosted in AnyDesk’s cloud or on-premises.[2] The pricing page gives no price and says to contact AnyDesk for a quote. It lists the plan as starting with five licensed users, with unlimited additional users as an add-on, and 2,000 managed devices. It includes single sign-on, a custom Namespace, a remote support module and a dedicated support team.[1] In the comparison table the concurrent connection column shows “5 users” for Ultimate and the add-on row shows “Unlimited*”.[1]

AnyDesk Ultimate On-Premises lets the customer “host your own AnyDesk appliance server on your internal network, using either physical or virtual hardware”. Only custom clients created in the customer’s my.anydesk portal can connect to that server.[13] Upgrading from Standard, Advanced or the legacy Performance licence to Ultimate Cloud requires the upgrade followed by setting up an Organization in my.anydesk II. The organization name cannot be changed later.[14] Catalog proof: On-premises appliance accepts only the customer's custom clients.

Counting / floors

Users are a team-size limit, not a concurrency limit

A user needs “a valid license assigned to your respective account”, for example through the user’s own AnyDesk address or alias.[1] The Help Center explains why a Standard licence with up to 20 users still lets only one person connect at a time: “Because user count and simultaneous outgoing connections are different limits.”[4] Only the session initiator counts. Session participants and incoming clients need no licence.[2] Catalog proof: Licensed users and concurrent connections are separate limits; Only outgoing clients that initiate commercial connections need a licence.

Concurrent connections are measured at peak

“The number of concurrent connections in your license sets the limit for how many remote connections can run at the same time.” AnyDesk’s example is two support agents helping two employees at once, which needs at least two connections.[3] When the limit is in use, the client shows a “Session Limit Reached” or “Too many active sessions are visible” message, and the Help Center advises ending sessions or upgrading.[15] The two vendor sources differ on the add-on ceiling:

Plan Default connections Help Center maximum (2025-10-30) Pricing page maximum (2026-10-07)
Solo 1 1, no add-ons[2] Not scalable[1]
Standard 1 1 plus up to 19 more[2] “Scale up to 20”[1]
Advanced 2 2 plus up to 48 more[2] “Scale up to 50”[1]

Read together, both sources give a total of 20 connections for Standard and 50 for Advanced. Catalog proof: Default and maximum concurrent connections per plan.

Registered devices do not add connections

The pricing FAQ says a user “can, for example, log in and start sessions on up to 3 devices in parallel”.[1] Registering more devices does not raise concurrency: “The number of devices registered to your license is different from the number of simultaneous connections included in your plan.”[5] A device is linked to the licence by entering the licence key in the client, by signing in to the AnyDesk account, through my.anydesk II on Windows, or by building the key into a custom client.[12] Removing a device from the licence, for example to replace it, returns that client to the free version.[11] Catalog proof: Registered devices do not increase concurrent connections; Removing a device from the licence reverts it to the free version.

Managed devices

A managed device is one reachable through Unattended Access: “no one needs to accept the Session on the remote side; you connect using the configured password instead.”[6] The allowances are 100 (Solo), 500 (Standard), 1,000 (Advanced) and 2,000 (Ultimate), and a Managed Devices add-on is listed for Standard, Advanced and Ultimate.[1] Interactive Access, where someone accepts the session, is unlimited on every paid plan, so attended support to customers does not consume managed device capacity. Catalog proof: Managed device allowances per plan.

Address books

Without a paid licence, an address book holds up to five contacts and needs a my.anydesk account. Solo allows up to 100 contacts in one address book. Standard gives one personal address book per user plus up to five company address books, and Advanced gives one per user plus up to 15. Contacts are unlimited in both.[7] Exceeding the limit produces an “Address book limit reached” status. “Additional company address books can be added through an optional addon.”[8] Catalog proof: Address book limits per licence tier.

Add-ons

Add-on Available for Catalog row
Concurrent connection Standard, Advanced; EUR 44.90 each per month, billed annually[1] Concurrent connection add-on
Managed Devices Standard, Advanced, Ultimate[1] Managed Devices add-on
Address Book Standard, Advanced, Ultimate[1] Address Book add-on
Namespace Standard, Advanced; included in Ultimate[1] Namespace add-on
Remote Worker Standard, Advanced, Ultimate[1] Remote Worker add-on
Salesforce and Freshworks integration Ultimate[1] Not catalogued

A Namespace is the part of an alias after the ”@”, for example “@company”. A custom Namespace can be used with an Access Control List to restrict remote access to trusted devices within the same namespace.[9]

No reductions mid-term

Under the Terms & Conditions of 2025-10-10, a customer may upgrade at any time, with pro rata charging, but “may not reduce the license model during a Subscription Period”.[17] Connections, users and add-ons bought for a peak therefore stay billed until the renewal date. Catalog proof: No downgrade during a Subscription Period.

Virtualization & partitioning

The plan limits count people, sessions and devices, not hardware capacity. The retrieved documents contain no rule on virtual machines, terminal servers or partitioning. An on-premises appliance server can run on “either physical or virtual hardware”.[13]

Cloud / BYOL

Solo, Standard and Advanced run on AnyDesk’s cloud infrastructure. Ultimate can run in the cloud or on-premises.[2] No bring-your-own-licence rule for public clouds applies.

Programs

Legacy licences

AnyDesk has “transitioned from user-based licenses to connection-based licenses”. The legacy user-based licences are Lite, Professional, Enterprise, Performance, Power and Essentials, for which “you paid for the number of users”. A legacy licence keeps working but receives no updates, new features or access to the my.anydesk II portal. Customers move to the new model through “Upgrade Now” in my.anydesk or with an AnyDesk licence expert, and no reinstallation is needed.[10] See the Named user (legacy licences) metric and the legacy license migration program. Catalog proof: Legacy user-based licences receive no updates or new features.
