- License Program Guide: subscriptions provide backup and archive rights for a fixed period; "all Commvault subscriptions contain an end date at which time the software or SaaS rights will expire." The subscription includes support and maintenance.
- Commercial rules
- On key expiry protected data stays recoverable but new backup, archive and replication jobs do not start until a renewed key is installed (software only). Expired subscriptions get support only per incident and no further Feature or Maintenance Releases. Under the Master Terms the Solution Term renews for an equal term at then-current rates unless either party gives 60 days written notice.
