- UOM definition: "A license is required for the total aggregate number of MIPS for each Computer, including all Computers coupled in a parallel Sysplex environment, upon which the Product is installed, or which is managed or monitored by the Product."
- Counting rules
- MIPS Rating is the aggregate computing power of a Computer expressed in millions of instructions per second, using the MIPS rating in the then current Gartner Group Rating Guide. Includes all Computers coupled in a parallel Sysplex. Computer-specific passwords are issued. A second variant counts MIPS "for each Computer as defined in the Statement of Capacity Information".
