- MSU Rating is the aggregate computing power of a Computer expressed in millions of service units, using the MSU rating in the then current Gartner Group Rating Guide. Includes all Computers coupled in a parallel Sysplex. Where MIPS and MSU are converted, BMC's per MSU (consumption) model uses an 8.2 MIPS to 1 MSU ratio fixed for the Order term.
