- Commercial rules
- Windows Server license-included instances need no Windows Server CALs and include two Remote Desktop Services connections for administration. SQL Server license-included instances need no SQL Server CALs. Use is governed by AWS Service Terms Section 5.1 (Microsoft Software is neither sold nor distributed; use only with the Services). Optimize CPUs lets license-included Windows and SQL Server instances pay license fees on configured vCPUs.
