- Definition
- Help Center: "A task is any successful action that runs in Zapier. Only successful actions count toward your task usage." Pricing FAQ: "Each successful action in a Zap counts as a separate task."
- Counting rules
- Each successful action step counts one task, including steps in an error handler path, steps re-run in a full Zap replay, action steps inside a sub-Zap and the Call/Return from a Sub-Zap steps; a search action set to proceed if nothing is found uses one task. Triggers, polling, Filter and Paths steps, failed or halted steps, and steps for Tables, Forms, Formatter, Delay, Looping, Sub-Zap, Digest, Zapier Manager and Storage use none. Product rates: AI by Zapier by model tier, Code by Zapier extra tasks for extended runtime, Lead Router 5 tasks per lead routed, Zapier MCP 2 tasks per successful tool call. Tasks are pooled across the account and reset each billing period.
