- Definition
- How pay-per-task billing works: "If you exceed your plan's task limit, you'll automatically switch to pay-per-task billing for the remainder of your pay period, so your Zap workflows stay on."
- Commercial rules
- Paid plans only. Enabled by default for accounts that joined after January 2024; legacy accounts may need to opt in. Usage is capped at 3 times the plan task limit (plan allocation included); beyond that runs are held until the next usage period. Charged at a higher per-task rate than base subscription tasks; the January 2024 launch note gave the rate as 1.25x the cost of a task on the plan. Only the owner can switch it off on Professional and Team; Enterprise accounts created after June 2025 must ask their account manager. Usage accrued before switching off is invoiced.
