- Definition
- Tenable One Foundation / Advanced Licensing: "To use Tenable One, you purchase licenses for assets: resources identified by - or managed in - your Tenable products. Some Tenable One products use different asset types." Under ratio-based (legacy) licensing, product-specific resources convert to Tenable One assets at published ratios.
- Counting rules
- Assets from native Tenable sensors are deduplicated by the "Count Once" engine using a ranked hierarchy of identification attributes (cloud resource IDs, Active Directory identifiers, Tenable UUID, third-party agent IDs, Entra ID identifiers, device serial, BIOS UUID, then network-scoped MAC, NetBIOS, FQDN, IPv6, IPv4). Web application assets and infrastructure assets are never merged. Legacy ratio-based contracts convert resources at ratios such as 0.50 per identity, 1.50 per OT device, 3/5/7.50 per Cloud Exposure billable asset and 0.25/0.50 per ASM observable object.
- Floors / minimums
- Minimum 100 assets for Tenable One Foundation and 300 assets for Tenable One Advanced; the legacy ratio-based calculator states a 300-licence minimum.
