- Counting rules
- Each active user requires an annual user licence. For the insider risk agent, licence consumption is the number of users with an active device using insider risk features (License Plan screen). For the backup agent (add-on, end of life 2026-12-31), active backup users and deactivated users with archives in cold storage consume a licence; if the backup agent is installed per user on a device, each user on that device needs a licence. Local administrator accounts, evaluation user accounts and users whose archives have expired or been purged do not consume a licence. Licences added later expire on a different date than the original licences.
