- EULSA §2(c): "Under the Server-Based model, licenses are required for each Server (i) that is tracked, supported or managed by the Software; or (ii) on which the Software is deployed, whether physical or virtual."

- Server (§1(t)) is a device with a server Operating System able to install and run additional applications; hardened appliances such as switches, firewalls and load balancers are excluded. Physical and virtual Servers both count. Transfer limited to once every 30 days.
