- EULSA §2(c): "Under the Device-Based model, licenses are required for each Registered Device or each Device on which the Software is deployed, whether physical or virtual."
- Counting rules
- Device (§1(h)) includes physical devices, virtual machines and electronic or virtual mailboxes. A Registered Device counts from Enrolling until it is explicitly marked removed, retired, wiped or deleted (§1(q)). Licences may move between Devices no more than once every 30 days.
