- Definition
- Subscription Agreement s.1: "“User(s)” is defined as the unique and single Individual, employee, Contractor, or other third-party individual or machine authorized by Customer (in accordance with this Agreement) that requires the provision of a seat within the admin platform, who are able to access the Software purchased under a Subscription, regardless of whether the User actually accesses, or the frequency with which they access, the Software."
- Counting rules
- Premium and Ultimate are sold per User per year. A User counts whether or not it actually signs in. On GitLab.com the count covers the top-level group, its subgroups and projects; on Self-Managed it covers the instance. All users in a group or instance are on the same tier. Which accounts occupy a seat is set out by the Billable user metric.
- Floors / minimums
- The number of Users purchased cannot be reported lower during the Subscription Term (s.6.5); Add-On Users are co-termed. Seats can be reduced only at renewal.
