- Permitted Number of Compatible Computer(s); single computer or virtual machine
- Definition
- EULA s.1.1: a Single-Use Perpetual License lets "a single authorized end user" install the Product "on a single computer or a virtual machine for use by that end user only"; s.2.5: a Single Use Perpetual License "allows activation on up to Permitted Number of computers"; s.1.3: a subscription may be applied "on the Permitted Number of Compatible Computer(s)".
- Counting rules
- Each activation on a physical computer or virtual machine consumes one of the permitted activations. Activations are tracked by Foxit (the EULA notes collection of the MAC address for activation). A perpetual activation is released with Help > Deactivate; a subscription activation is released by removing the device from the account or by activating another device. The Permitted Number is not stated in the EULA; it comes from the order or plan, and Admin Console can set a maximum number of devices per assigned user.
