Foxit

Foxit makes PDF software, including the paid Foxit PDF Editor for desktop, web and mobile, the free Foxit PDF Reader and Foxit eSign. PDF Editor is sold as perpetual, term or subscription licences for a permitted number of computers, with shared-device licences for education.

  1. A Single-Use Perpetual License lets a single authorized end user install the product on one computer or virtual machine for that user only; it cannot be used in multi-user environments such as terminal servers, which need a multi-user or site licence.[1]

  2. Subscription licences are monthly or yearly and may be used on the Permitted Number of computers only while the subscription is paid up; a Single-Use Term License has the same terms as perpetual but for a fixed period.[2]

  3. The Shared Device License is available only to educational or research institutions under a subscription; it is assigned to devices rather than individuals and limited to educational and research use.[3]

  4. Remote access to paid products such as Foxit PDF Editor is not permitted without Foxit's express written consent.[4]

  5. On request, business customers must document and certify licence compliance within 30 days; Foxit may inspect records and systems, and if non-compliance is found the customer must buy additional licences and bear the reasonable inspection fee.[5]

  6. Foxit PDF Reader is offered as a free application for reading, annotating and collaborating on PDFs.[6]
