- Terms of Service s.23: a Box subscription requires "a Box account for each user". Organization users are users whose accounts are controlled by the organization's administrator, and users permitted to access, store, retrieve or manage the organization's Content who are employed by the organization or whose accounts use an email address it controls, including such users on individual plans.
- Counting rules
- Each individual needs an account tied to a unique email address (Fair Use Policy s.2a); accounts may not be shared, tied to generic aliases, deleted before a true-up and re-provisioned, or provisioned on personal email addresses to reduce the count. User accounts may not act as system or service accounts without Box authorization. On Starter and Business plans, external collaborators beyond the permitted number also count as seats.
