- About External Users: external users are collaborators from outside the organization whose Box accounts were not created from the organization's Admin Console and do not use its email domains.
- Counting rules
- External users do not need purchased licences, but on plans without unlimited collaborators (Starter and Business) external user accounts above the permitted number of collaborators count toward the purchased seat count. On Business Plus and above, seats are internal users only and external collaborators are unlimited. People who only receive shared links are not collaborators.
