Beyond the per-user plans, Lucid sells Enterprise add-ons: the Cloud Accelerator, which succeeded the Lucidscale product, the Process Accelerator, and the Enterprise Shield security add-on. Lucid AI is a separate, optional feature set governed by its own terms, and airfocus is a second product family with its own plans. All of these are bought through Lucid sales or, for airfocus, through the in-app billing page, and none has a public price in the documents reviewed.[1][2] This article explains how each is licensed and what it changes in a licence position. The base seat mechanics are in plans, seats and licence management.
Who can buy add-ons
Lucid states that Enterprise accounts can add the Cloud Accelerator and the Process Accelerator, that the Enterprise Shield add-on is purchased through sales, and that Accelerators are also available on accounts in the FedRAMP environment. To upgrade to Enterprise or Lucid GovSuite, or to buy a Lucid Accelerator or add-on, a customer contacts the Lucid sales team.[1] Team and Individual accounts cannot add them: the upgrade documentation shows that Enterprise add-ons and Accelerators are purchased only by Enterprise admins through sales.[3]
Cloud Accelerator and Lucidscale
Lucidscale was Lucid’s separate product for cloud infrastructure visualization. The Cloud Accelerator replaces it as an add-on to the Lucid suite that helps cloud teams plan and document cloud infrastructure.[4] Its features include cloud frames in Lucidchart that render imported cloud infrastructure into diagrams, Cloud Version Compare, a Cloud Agent in beta, freeform diagramming with imported data, Terraform generation in beta, a Cloud Accelerator API, data source sharing, a team organizer and blueprints.[4] The Lucid plan matrix lists cloud provider integrations for AWS, Azure and Google Cloud among the accelerator features.[1]
The licence model is the important difference. Lucid states that “the Cloud Accelerator is an account-wide license”. Once purchased, all Lucid Suite licensed users have access to the accelerator’s features, and users no longer need individual Lucidscale licences.[4] Lucidscale documents and the Lucidscale interface remain available to anyone with a Lucid Suite licence on an account that has purchased the accelerator, and Lucid says it will not deprecate or remove existing Lucidscale documents.[4] Accelerators renew on the same timeline as the Lucid Suite licences, and customers using Lucidscale receive email communication about migration options leading up to their Lucidscale renewal.[4]
Practical points for a licence position:
- Entitlement is account-wide. The accelerator is not counted per user. The number of users who can use it equals the number of Lucid Suite licences, so growth in Lucid Suite seats increases the number of covered users without a separate accelerator charge in the documents reviewed.[4]
- Credentials remain individual. All users with a Lucid Enterprise licence have access to the data hub, but importing a new data set needs credentials in the user’s own cloud provider and those credentials are accessible only to the person who imported the data. Data sources can instead be shared so other users can create documents without credentials.[4]
- Managers. An account admin assigns Cloud Accelerator managers, who create and assign teams in the accelerator. These are administrative roles, not additional licences.[4]
- Retiring Lucidscale seats. Where an organization still holds per-user Lucidscale licences, the accelerator purchase replaces them, so the renewal date and quantity of those licences should be compared with the Lucid Suite renewal.[4]
Process Accelerator
The Process Accelerator is described as increasing governance and standardization in how processes are documented, stored and maintained.[1] The plan matrix lists a repository, asset library, repository owner, version history, approval workflow, document metadata and a Process Accelerator manager role among its features, with some items such as Slack or Microsoft Teams approval notifications, repository embeds and LeanIX and Ardoq integrations limited to the standard Enterprise environment rather than the FedRAMP one.[1] Lucid’s pricing pages list the Process Accelerator beside the Cloud Accelerator as an Enterprise capability.[5] The retrieved documents do not state a separate unit or minimum for it, so the Order is the only place to confirm whether it is account-wide like the Cloud Accelerator.
Enterprise Shield
Enterprise Shield “adds an enhanced layer of fortified security and control to an account”, and Lucid directs customers to contact sales to purchase it.[6] The plan matrix lists its features as content inspection, classification controls, revoking access from external users, idle session timeout, IP allowlist, a key management service, organizational group share settings, global document revision history, document retention, a legal hold API, a document management API, an audit logs API and a legal archive. Idle session timeout comes standard with Lucid GovSuite rather than as a Shield purchase.[1]
The add-on introduces a Shield admin role. Lucid states that the Shield admin role requires purchase of Enterprise Shield, alongside the account owner, account admin and document admin roles that can reach Shield features.[7] Content inspection is available to the account owner, document admins and Shield admins, queues documents on the account for scanning, then scans only modified documents after the first pass. Lucid cautions that it cannot identify all content subject to data privacy laws and should not substitute for a legal compliance programme.[6] This matters because the Terms of Service say the Subscription Services are not designed to handle Protected Information, so the add-on does not change that contractual statement.[8][6]
Lucid AI
Lucid AI means generative tools made available through the Subscription Services that use data models trained by artificial intelligence. The Supplemental AI Terms, last updated 2026-06-30, apply together with the Terms of Service or a signed services agreement and any Orders.[9] Four licensing-relevant points follow.
- Optional. The AI is an optional feature that is not required to use the Subscription Services.[9]
- No fee today, but may change. Lucid says its AI capabilities are currently available to all users but may be subject to a paid subscription model in future, and the AI Terms let Lucid suspend, discontinue or make any feature subject to a paid model at any time by notice on its websites, in the services or by email.[1][9] No credit, allowance or quota metric is published in the documents reviewed.
- Ownership. Input and Output are the customer’s content and Lucid assigns its rights, if any, in the Output to the customer, while Lucid owns the AI and resulting statistical data.[9]
- Third parties. Lucid hosts the AI through listed subprocessors and says users must accept the third-party terms listed, including those of Microsoft, OpenAI and AWS. Lucid does not permit its providers to use Customer Data to improve or train AI models.[9]
The AI Terms also restrict use: customers may not use the AI to train competing models, to mislead people about AI-generated output, for automated high-risk decision-making in areas such as employment, education, credit or law enforcement, or in violation of the provider terms.[9] Lucid also states that downtime of the AI caused by a failure of a third-party service is excluded from uptime calculations.[9]
airfocus
The Terms of Service define Lucid as including its wholly owned subsidiary airfocus GmbH, and the Terms cover airfocus services, with support through help.airfocus.com or support@airfocus.com.[8] airfocus offers two plans, Professional and Enterprise. Professional includes unlimited workspaces, all view types and core integrations. Enterprise adds support for OKRs, capacity planning, reporting and enhanced security and support.[2] Lucid does not offer an airfocus free trial and instead offers a demo; for airfocus trials, the Terms say the account is disabled at the end of the trial unless a paid subscription is purchased.[2][8] Plans can be bought through sales or by submitting a form in billing settings, after which a sales representative contacts the customer within one business day. Annual plans can be terminated at the end of each contract year, monthly plans at any time with effect at the end of the billing month, and payment is by major credit cards, invoice or bank transfer.[2] The help article does not state the unit of measure, such as seats or workspaces, so the Order should confirm it.
FedRAMP and GovSuite
Lucid lists a FedRAMP plan beside Enterprise for its FedRAMP environment, marketed as Lucid GovSuite.[1] Some capabilities differ in that environment: for example SAML and SCIM are available but without pre-configured applications, and some Process Accelerator features are not available.[1] The Terms give one example of when a free or beta service may be terminated with deletion of content: a move from Lucid’s commercial environment to its FedRAMP environment.[8]
Reseller purchases
Add-ons and Accelerators are not in the reseller product table. Lucid lists Lucidchart Team, Lucidspark Team and Lucid Suite Enterprise as available for resale in quantities of 5 and states that products not available for resale can be bought directly by clients online or by contacting sales.[10] A customer who buys through a partner should therefore confirm which party contracts for any add-on.
