e2open Carrier Marketplace subscriptions and pricing

This article is about the e2open Carrier Marketplace programme for road carriers: subscription levels, annual load tiers, public fees, implementation charges, renewal and data terms. It does not cover shipper subscriptions to e2open Transportation Management, which are sold on Order Forms.

On This Page

The e2open Carrier Marketplace is a programme through which road carriers pay for enhanced access to the e2open Transportation Management for Shippers solution. e2open describes it as formerly known as BluJay’s Carrier Network, and it offers carrier scorecards, procurement discovery, EDI and API connectivity and marketing options.[1] It is unusual among e2open products in that the fees are public. This article records the levels, how volumes are counted, and the contract terms around them.

Scope: which carriers and which systems

The carrier subscriptions are “exclusively for road carriers using the e2open Transportation Management for Shippers (Legacy LeanLogistics/BluJay TMS) solution”. Integrations for legacy Kewill Transportation, Cloud Logistics and other solutions are not available through the Carrier Marketplace.[1] A carrier does not need to subscribe: it can access the TMS through a browser for free, and the Rev 0925 comparison states that e2open does not require a subscription to work with any shipper in the TMS.[1][2] The paid levels add scorecards, certification, integration and marketing. Any carrier user with an admin role can run reports in the TMS, so the carrier is not dependent on e2open to establish its volume.[1]

Levels and published fees

Four paid levels are published. Fees are annual and depend on the carrier’s annual load volume.[1][2]

Level What it adds Annual loads and annual fee (USD)
Web Connect+ Basic quarterly scorecard, eligibility for the Certified Carrier Program, Procurement Discovery based on certification, member logo 0-700: 549; over 700: 1,199
eConnect Web Connect+ plus optional EDI connectivity, advanced quarterly scorecard, company logo on the e2open carrier page 0-5,000: 4,500; 5,001-10,000: 7,500; over 10,000: 11,000
eConnect+ eConnect plus API connectivity for low-touch TMS collaboration, option to buy a Premium Marketing package 0-5,000: 18,000; 5,001-15,000: 30,000; 15,001-25,000: 42,000; over 25,000: quote
LTLConnect eConnect plus real-time LTL rating, spot market, billing and communications APIs, option to buy a Premium Marketing package 0-20,000: 18,000; 20,001-50,000: 30,000; 50,001-100,000: 42,000; over 100,000: quote

The catalog lists each level as a SKU: Carrier Web Connect Plus, Carrier eConnect, Carrier eConnect Plus and Carrier LTLConnect. The table is a snapshot. Earlier e2open documents show other numbers: a July 2023 comparison lists eConnect at 4,200, 6,600 and 9,600 US dollars and a free Web Connect column, and a December 2024 enrolment guide shows “From $18,200.00 / year” for LTLConnect and eConnect+ and “From $4,500.00 / year” for eConnect.[3][4] Contracts signed under older price points can therefore differ from the current page, and the Terms allow e2open to increase fees before any renewal, applying to renewals occurring 45 or more days after the notice or website posting date.[5]

What each level contains

Scorecard and certification. Subscribers receive a quarterly Platform Scorecard showing activity in the TMS and objective performance data across their shipper customers, with KPIs such as on-time delivery and tender acceptance by lane and by customer. Strong performance can lead to Silver, Gold or Platinum certification, which e2open uses with carrier profile information in Procurement Discovery when shippers go to market with freight lanes.[1] Web Connect+ receives a basic scorecard and the other levels an advanced scorecard.[2] The scorecard is delivered to the email address of the primary contact username in the TMS, and the carrier must maintain that username.[5]

EDI. eConnect includes four road EDI transactions: tender request, tender response, transportation status and invoice, with connectivity over supported protocols and optional alerts for conformance failures and unmatched entities.[5] A carrier cannot send status update or tender response transactions without first receiving the tender request, and invoice transactions fail for shippers that are not set up to receive them.[5]

API. eConnect+ adds five API offerings: truckload rate quoting, LTL rate quoting, spot market, communications and billing. LTLConnect adds four: LTL rate quoting, spot market, communications and billing.[5]

Counting annual loads

The tier depends on annual load volume. e2open’s guide to calculating loads moved tells carriers to export the Data Export report from the TMS (Utilities > Reporting > Data Export), remove duplicate rows on TMS Load #, repeat for each SCAC the carrier moves freight under, and add the unique loads for each SCAC.[6] The FAQ confirms that any admin-role carrier user can generate the load activity report for a date range.[1] At renewal the carrier is billed at the level that fits its past 12 months of load volume in the TMS.[1]

Carriers should note that the unit is a load, not a shipment line or a tender: duplicates on load number are removed. Because the count is across SCAC codes, a carrier with several SCACs pools them for the tier, and the FAQ says there is no cost to add an additional SCAC to a subscription.[1][6]

Exceeding the tier

Two public statements differ, and the difference matters for budgeting. The FAQ says that if the carrier exceeds the annual load limit, the subscription is automatically upgraded; at the next renewal the carrier is billed at the new level, and there are “no overage charges or penalties” in the current subscription year.[1] The Carrier Subscription Terms and Conditions updated 2025-10-30 say that a carrier exceeding the Annual Load Volume limitation at any point during a subscription year automatically moves to the higher tier and is charged the difference between tiers, prorated for the rest of the year, and that fees for the next renewal year are based on the higher tier.[5] The signed terms are the contract, so budget for the prorated charge unless e2open confirms otherwise in writing. The reverse direction has no refund: a carrier may move to a lower level at any time, but the annual fee changes only at the next renewal.[1]

Implementation fees

EDI and API connections are priced separately from the subscription. The Rev 0925 comparison shows new EDI implementation at 3,000 US dollars per SCAC/VAT, with a lower 1,500 US dollars figure in the Web Connect+ column; new real-time rating, spot market, billing and communications API implementations at 4,125 US dollars for the first SCAC/VAT each; and 1,000 US dollars per additional SCAC/VAT for APIs.[2] The terms say EDI implementation is per SCAC and includes up to 10 hours of work for all transaction sets, plus project kick-off, configuration, test support and one week of hyper-care, while API implementation is per API and per SCAC and includes up to 15 hours per transaction set.[5] Additional services are quoted at the then-standard hourly fees, and version upgrades and post-production configuration changes carry incremental fees under a separate statement of work.[5]

Some integration changes are free. Adding a shipper to an existing EDI or API integration costs nothing, and so does removing a shipper integration, but re-integrating after the integrated SCAC has been removed is a new integration with a fee.[5] Any SCAC already implemented or in flight under the BluJay Carrier Network becomes part of the Carrier Marketplace profile when the carrier enrols at an EDI or API level.[4] The catalog rows are Carrier EDI implementation and Carrier API implementation.

Term, billing and cancellation

The subscription term is 12 months from the Commencement Date, the date of sign-up on the Marketplace, and renews for successive 12-month periods unless either party gives written notice at least 30 days before the anniversary.[5] The Annual Subscription Fee is due annually in advance, integration fees are due in advance or as set in a statement of work, no services begin until fees are paid, and all fees are payable in US dollars and are non-refundable.[5] Unpaid undisputed amounts bear 1.5 percent monthly interest and e2open may suspend access if payment is more than 30 days overdue.[5] The FAQ adds that checks are not accepted, payment is by card or ACH, and invoicing is offered for orders of 9,600 US dollars or more.[1] Cancelling requires a Carrier Change Request, no refund is given, and any EDI or API implementations are deleted, so a new project is needed to reconnect.[1]

Restrictions and data rights

Carriers may not reverse engineer the software or create derivative works, and the use of robotic process automation or bot technology to modify the software or services, or for any other purpose, is strictly prohibited without prior written authorisation.[5] The terms incorporate the Acceptable Use Policy and Security Guidelines Policy.[5] e2open may incorporate carrier data into Derived Works, including carrier scorecards, use the data to improve its database and provide Derived Works to customers and to other third parties for transportation operations and procurement, and e2open owns those Derived Works.[5] Liability is capped at amounts paid for three months of services, claims must be brought within 12 months, and Texas law applies with exclusive jurisdiction of the federal district courts of Texas.[5] Carriers should read these terms alongside the data and scorecard benefits, because the scorecards are themselves built from carrier performance data across shippers.

Carrier Reporting as a Service layers custom dashboards over the carrier’s e2open TMS data, covering bid activity analysis, a performance scorecard and receivables, and no public price is shown.[7] The Premium Marketing package for eConnect+ and LTLConnect is also sold as an option without a published price.[1]

Checklist

  1. Record each SCAC/VAT, the annual loads per SCAC and the pooled total for the last 12 months.
  2. Compare the current Order Details tier with the load total before the anniversary date, and budget for a prorated tier difference if the total has passed the limit.
  3. Diary the 30-day cancellation notice and the 45-day fee-increase window.
  4. Keep copies of the implementation statements of work so that re-integration fees can be tested.

Out of scope

This article does not cover shipper-side licensing of the e2open TMS, the Cloud Logistics or Kewill carrier networks, or third-party carrier terms. It does not state prices for the Premium Marketing package or Carrier Reporting as a Service, because none are published.[1][7]
