- HCL PVU policy: in an eligible virtualized environment "Licensee must obtain entitlements sufficient to cover all activated virtual processor cores made available to or managed by the Program."
- Commercial rules
- License the lower of physical cores or virtual cores available to the Program. Reports accepted: HCL PVU Calculator, HCL BigFix Inventory, and IBM License Metric Tool Audit Snapshot for at least 90 days. Licensee keeps a record of total PVUs allocated for presentation on request.
