- Definition
- Product Guide s.1.1: "Active Connection" means any connections to Powered-On Desktop Virtual Machines, Terminal Services Sessions, and physical computers. Horizon for Linux (s.2.8) narrows it to connections to a Powered-On Desktop Virtual Machine or a physical computer; the Horizon Apps editions (s.2.9 to 2.11) narrow it to connections to a Terminal Services Session.
- Counting rules
- Concurrent User licences are consumed by Users who maintain an Active Connection, idle sessions included. Horizon Console (Settings > Product Licensing and Usage > Usage) shows Total Concurrent Connections with a Current and a Highest column; the Highest value is kept since the pod was configured or the count was last reset. The row is populated even under a Named User licence. For SaaS subscriptions the Horizon Control Plane figures prevail where they differ.
