Omnissa

Omnissa makes the Horizon virtual desktop and app platform and the Workspace ONE unified endpoint management suite. Its software is licensed under the Omnissa General Terms, Software Exhibit and Product Guide, mainly per named user, concurrent user or device, as subscriptions or legacy perpetual licences.

  1. The Product Guide defines licence metrics used across Omnissa software, including Named User (a single designated human user) and Concurrent Users (users maintaining an Active Connection at any given time, including idle sessions).[1]

  2. For each Horizon Enterprise or Horizon Universal Subscription Concurrent User licence, the customer may use Horizon for Windows or Horizon for Linux, but not both at once, and only one Powered-On Desktop Virtual Machine.[2]

  3. Horizon Service Named User or Concurrent User entitlements may be used across any mix of on-premises and public-cloud deployments, but the total may not exceed the purchased quantity.[3]

  4. The Software Exhibit grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to deploy the ordered number of licences for internal business operations; Subscription Software may be used only during the Subscription Term.[4]

  5. Customers must provide certified usage reports on request, and on prior written notice Omnissa or an independent third party may verify compliance remotely or on site; unlicensed use must be covered by an order within 30 days of notice.[5]

  6. Where a Horizon entitlement includes VMware vSphere Foundation for VDI licences, their use is subject to Broadcom's Foundation Agreement and restricted to virtual desktop infrastructure.[6]
