- NI Software License Agreement s.2.A: with a named user License "you may install the Software on up to three (3) computers in a single workplace of one (1) individual you designate and register with NI".
- Counting rules
- Only the registered Named User may run the Software, on one computer at a time, and access may not be shared over a network. A computer is one computing device (including any cloud computing system) or, for a virtual machine, one virtual machine. The Named User may be changed to another employee no more than four times per calendar year, provided the new user is registered and the old user uninstalls.

- Default licence type where the Quote or documentation says nothing else. A single-seat licence is typically named-user non-concurrent. Includes a home exception.
