  • Subscription
  • Named user
  • Node-locked
  • Concurrent user
  • Floating / network
  • Enterprise agreement
  1. NI software is licensed in development, deployment and debug categories; a deployment licence is needed for each target computer running an application built with the product.[1]

  2. Non-concurrent licences are named-user or computer-based (node-locked); their use is limited to the Americas, Europe or Asia and cannot cross continents.[2]

  3. Concurrent licences allow installation on unlimited computers at certain sites up to the number of seats in use at once, and are sold only through a Volume License Agreement or Enterprise Agreement.[3]

  4. A perpetual licence keeps working for the purchased version; software service is included in the first year and is renewable annually after that.[4]

  5. Subscription licences must be renewed for the software to keep working.[5]

  6. Development licences and computer-based licences include a home exception for installation on one home machine.[6]
