- Custom Metrics Billing: "A custom metric is uniquely identified by a combination of a metric name and tag values (including the host tag)." Any metric not submitted from a Datadog integration is a custom metric.
- Counting rules
- Billable usage is the total of distinct custom metrics (timeseries) in each hour of the month divided by the number of hours in the month. Data point frequency and query volume do not affect it. Allotment of 100 per host (Pro) or 200 per host (Enterprise), pooled across the account. Log-based metrics count towards the allotment. Contracts may instead use Metric Name pricing, which is mutually exclusive with this metric.
