- Understanding AI Units In Box: "An AI Unit is a standardized way to measure consumption of paid Box AI features." Consumption depends on the action type and on whether a Standard or Premium model is selected.
- Counting rules
- Included monthly volume per plan: Enterprise 1,000, Enterprise Plus 2,000, Enterprise Advanced 20,000; Business and Business Plus can buy AI Units. Unused units do not roll over; the entitlement resets at the start of each calendar month; consumption across AI actions is aggregated; agent runs in Automate workflows are charged. Box Agent in standard mode, Box Apps and Search, Shield auto-classification and MCP partner apps are not charged. When the entitlement is exhausted, paid AI features are blocked.
