Visma Net and Severa licensing

This article is about two Visma products whose public licensing material is a price page rather than a contract: Visma Net, the ERP sold in Norway by Visma Software Nordic with consumption-based pricing, and Severa, the professional services automation tool of Visma Solutions Oy priced per user. It is not about e-conomic, Netvisor or Youforce. It is not legal advice.

On This Page

Visma Net

Visma Net is the cloud ERP offered by Visma Software Nordic, whose price page shows the Oslo head office address and the product choices Business NXT, Visma Net, Payroll and Dottie HR.[1] The group’s legal notice explains that software products and services are provided by the respective Visma companies, so the contract is with the national company and its partner.[3] The price page says that when a subscription is taken out the system is delivered in collaboration with Visma-certified partners, who help with solution architecture, implementation and integrations and offer the support agreements.[1] See Visma Net is delivered with certified partners.

Editions

The price model has four main subscriptions, listed from the simplest to the most comprehensive. All include one company and one demo company, and unlimited ERP users, approvers and reporting users.[1]

Subscription Intended for Content Starting price
Finans Smaller or growing companies needing basic financial management Finance, reporting, fixed assets, subscription administration, payroll and HR functions From NOK 4,397 per month
Finans, extended The most established companies with large volumes Everything in Finans plus budgeting and project accounting Not stated on the page
Finans & Logistikk Growing companies that also manage sales, purchasing and warehouse Finans plus inventory, purchasing, sales and smart reorder suggestions From NOK 8,805 per month
Finans & Logistikk, extended Established companies needing maximum automation in finance and logistics Everything in Finans & Logistikk plus budgeting and project accounting Not stated on the page

The starting prices are labelled as based on monthly consumption of invoices and payments and optional extras added when needed.[1] Customers with complex processes are offered tailored quotes. See Visma Net starting prices depend on monthly consumption.

Metrics

The model has three parts: monthly subscriptions, consumption-based pricing and add-on modules.[1]

Users are free. The pricing model separates user access, which is free and unlimited for ERP users, approvers and reporting users, from operational use measured by consumption of invoice documents, payment documents and any extra companies.[1] A customer therefore does not pay extra for new users who approve or use the core system. See Visma Net user access is unlimited and Visma Net is priced by documents, not users.

Invoice document and payment document. The basic Finans and Finans & Logistikk subscriptions have a fixed price point per invoice document, payment document and extra company. The extended subscriptions use a full step matrix for invoice and payment documents and for smart reorder suggestions, so the price per document falls as volume rises. Logistics subscriptions also charge a fixed transaction cost for smart reorder suggestions.[1] The page does not define how a document is counted beyond naming the document types, so the count has to be confirmed in the order documents.

Extra company. One company and one demo company are included. For additional legal entities there is a separate, step-based price structure in which the price per extra company falls as more are added.[1]

Payroll employee. Payroll is structured as a separate, volume-based service, independent of the main ERP subscription, offered as Payroll Start, Pluss or Smart. The cost per employee falls with the number of employees, and the company is billed in arrears on the active number of employees registered during the month.[1] See Visma Net payroll is billed in arrears on active employees.

Counting / floors and programs

All subscriptions state that there is no binding period or notice period, which gives the customer freedom to change or leave.[1] See Visma Net has no binding period or notice period and Visma Net no-commitment subscription.

Add-on modules include Payroll and Dottie HR, budgeting for Finans and Finans & Logistikk customers, and climate reporting, which is priced in volume steps with a per-unit cost that falls as the reporting volume rises.[1]

Virtualization & cloud

Not applicable. Visma describes its delivery model as VCDM (Visma Cloud Delivery Model), which it says keeps the system updated, available and secure.[1]

Severa

Severa is a professional services automation tool, covering CRM and sales, project management, time tracking, invoicing, resourcing and reporting. Its price page names Visma Solutions Oy as the address holder in Lappeenranta and Helsinki, Finland, the same company that provides Netvisor.[2][4] The Netvisor general terms do not extend to Severa by their wording, which covers the Netvisor and Fivaldi services only, so no Severa contract is described here.[4]

Severa sells four packages, priced per user per month excluding VAT.[2]

Package Price per user per month Storage Selected features

For organisations over 500 users, Severa recommends contacting sales to find the best package.[2] See Severa is priced per user per month, Severa organisations over 500 users are quoted and Severa REST API is a Business feature.

Metrics and counting

User. The user is the only quantity on the price page: each package is ”€ / month / user”, and the page lets the buyer select the number of users.[2] The page does not define a user, state whether a user can be shared or whether a minimum number of users applies, or set a minimum term, so those points depend on the contract signed at the end of the trial.

The page says the buyer “can add or remove features in your company’s use at any time through Severa’s service management”.[2] See Severa features can be added or removed at any time.

Programs

The 30-day trial is “completely free of charge”, needs no credit card or invoicing information, uses the Premium version features and ends automatically with no invoice; the purchase decision and contract are made at the end of the trial.[2] See Severa trial is free for 30 days and Severa 30-day trial.

Implementation is priced separately, “based on the extent of the use and the number of users”, and customer data can be moved as CSV. Phone and email support are free of charge, with the service provider’s number fee applying to calls, and each user can choose Finnish, English, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or Dutch as interface language.[2]

Out of scope

This article does not cover other Visma products sold in Norway, such as Visma Business NXT and Tripletex, Visma Net’s data processing and service level documents, or Severa’s information security page, which describes controls rather than licensing. No contract, general terms or audit clause was retrievable for either product from the vendor’s own domains, so rights such as sharing, audit, assignment and notice are not described.
