SurveyMonkey Wufoo, GetFeedback and Apply licensing

This article is about the SurveyMonkey products other than the core survey platform that are sold as separate subscriptions: Wufoo (online forms), GetFeedback (website feedback) and SurveyMonkey Apply (application management). Core plans, Audience and Enterprise have their own articles. It is not legal advice.

On This Page

Wufoo and GetFeedback are SurveyMonkey products sold alongside the core survey platform under the SurveyMonkey legal framework. The Terms of Use apply to products, services, websites and apps that a customer purchases or signs up for on SurveyMonkey’s websites and that are branded “SurveyMonkey”, “Wufoo” or “GetFeedback”, but not to services available solely through the enterprise sales channel.[2] The enterprise-only product, SurveyMonkey Apply, is covered by its own service-specific terms incorporated into the Governing Services Agreement.[4]

Editions

Wufoo

Wufoo is an online form builder. Its pricing page, fetched on 2026-10-08, lists five plans in US dollars with annual and monthly billing options.[1]

Plan Annual price shown Forms Entries per month Users API requests per day File storage
Free USD 0 5 100 1 100 none listed
Starter USD 195 (USD 16.25 per month) 10 1,000 1 10,000 1 GB
Professional USD 399 (USD 33.25 per month) Unlimited 5,000 5 25,000 5 GB
Advanced USD 999 (USD 83.25 per month) Unlimited 25,000 20 50,000 10 GB
Ultimate USD 2,523 (USD 210.25 per month) Unlimited 200,000 60 100,000 20 GB

Support is by email (priority for Advanced and Ultimate customers) during stated weekday hours, and features such as accepting payments, field encryption, password protection, custom confirmation pages and higher file upload limits are enabled by plan.[1] The plan SKU rows are Wufoo Free, Wufoo Starter, Wufoo Professional, Wufoo Advanced and Wufoo Ultimate.

GetFeedback

GetFeedback is described by SurveyMonkey as a website feedback solution that collects in-context feedback through feedback buttons, trigger-based forms and embedded forms, installed through a code snippet.[3] The product page lists two plans, each offered with monthly and annual billing (the annual option labelled as saving 17%) and a 7-day trial:

  • Starter: up to 1,000 responses per month, with trigger-based forms and multi-form analysis.
  • Plus: up to 2,000 responses per month, adding the feedback button and embedded form.[3]

The fetched page text did not show prices, and no overage rate was stated. The page explains that GetFeedback previously included two products, GetFeedback Direct and GetFeedback Digital; GetFeedback Direct “is being sunset on December 31, 2026” and GetFeedback Digital was renamed GetFeedback. Existing GetFeedback Digital customers are not moved to the new self-serve offering, and their plan and access remain unchanged.[3] Customers that still run GetFeedback Direct therefore have a fixed date by which the service ends, which matters for renewal and contract planning. The SKU rows are GetFeedback Starter and GetFeedback Plus.

SurveyMonkey Apply

SurveyMonkey Apply is an application management product sold through the enterprise sales team. Its service-specific terms refer to Pro, Enterprise and EnterprisePlus subscriptions. A customer that orders a new Enterprise or EnterprisePlus subscription is entitled to Configuration Services, which are not included in a Pro subscription. The parties may agree a Statement of Work, and unless an SOW states otherwise the customer reimburses reasonable expenses SurveyMonkey incurs in providing the services; SurveyMonkey may accept or reject a change order request in its sole discretion.[4] The documents reviewed do not state a seat or application-count metric for Apply; quantities are set on the Order Form.

Metrics

Wufoo entries. The pricing page defines Entries as “the maximum number of entries you can receive each month - total across all forms”, so the count is monthly and pooled across forms; Forms is “the number of forms that you can have saved at any given time”; and Users is “the number of users you can have on your account”.[1] See Wufoo entry and Wufoo user. API requests are counted per day.[1]

GetFeedback responses. The monthly response limit is the plan measure, see GetFeedback response (monthly).

Counting and floors

  • One free Wufoo account per person. A person may hold only one active free Wufoo account; multiple free accounts for one person may be closed by SurveyMonkey. Free accounts that receive no form submission for six months, or are not accessed for six months, may be closed.[2]
  • Entry overage. The Wufoo pricing text reviewed does not state a per-entry overage rate or what happens when the monthly entry limit is exceeded; the plan terms and invoices of the customer are the place to check.[1]
  • Account sharing. The Terms of Use state that accounts may not be shared and may be used by only one individual per account; Wufoo plans allow more than one user as the plan table shows.[1] [2]

Virtualization and partitioning

Not applicable: Wufoo, GetFeedback and Apply are hosted services.

Programs

Wufoo API

Wufoo account data can be accessed through its API under a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence, without the right to sublicense, to develop, test, operate and support the customer’s own application and to distribute access to the integration to the application’s end users. SurveyMonkey may suspend access for abuse or excessive requests, may modify or discontinue API access with or without notice, and may ask the customer to provide information about its application to verify compliance. The API “is currently provided for free”, but SurveyMonkey reserves the right to charge for it in future.[2]

Content a customer posts to the Wufoo Form Gallery is licensed to SurveyMonkey: the customer grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable, non-exclusive right to use, copy, modify, distribute and exploit that Form Content in connection with SurveyMonkey’s operation of Wufoo.[2] This is a grant from the customer to the vendor, which may matter for organisations that publish templates.

Terms framework

Because Wufoo and GetFeedback are sold under the Terms of Use, the general rules for auto-renewal, price changes, refunds and termination described in SurveyMonkey individual and Team plans apply, subject to any plan-specific terms.[2] The Service-Specific Terms index lists SurveyMonkey Apply among the enterprise service-specific terms, alongside Enterprise, Audience and Benchmarks.[5]
