o9 Solutions is a Dallas-based software company that sells the o9 Digital Brain, an enterprise planning and decision-making platform built on what it calls an Enterprise Knowledge Graph.[1] The platform is sold as enterprise software as a service. o9 states that its deployments are enterprise SaaS engagements and that pricing is not published because it is scoped per customer.[1] o9 publishes no price list, no customer agreement and no definition of its user types. The public record for a software asset manager is limited to a pricing-factor statement on an information page, a website Terms of Use dated 2020, a security page, press releases about marketplace listings and AI components, and a per-user price list for training. This article summarises those sources and notes where they stop.
Company and contracting entity
o9 states that it was founded in 2009, is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and operates offices in the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, India, Japan, South Korea and Australia.[1] The website Terms of Use identify the contracting entity for the website as o9 Solutions, Inc., a Texas corporation, including its subsidiaries and affiliates.[2] Which o9 entity signs a customer’s order documents is not stated publicly, and customers with subsidiaries in several countries should confirm that the agreement covers the affiliates that will use the platform. o9 reported that its subscription revenue grew 37% year over year in 2024, and the release does not describe contract terms.[9]
Editions
o9 does not publish editions of the Digital Brain. The commercial offers it names are the following.
- The o9 Digital Brain platform and its solutions. o9 groups solutions into supply chain, finance and operations, commercial and revenue, retail and merchandise, and sustainability families, each with use cases such as demand planning, integrated business planning, revenue growth management, merchandise financial planning and ESG reporting.[4] See o9 Digital Brain platform, solutions and AI and the catalogue row o9 Digital Brain platform subscription.
- o9 Mobile. A mobile client of the Digital Brain, available on iOS and Android.[5] No separate price is published. See o9 Mobile.
- Post-Game Analysis. An analysis offer o9 presents under a request-access form, in which a customer asks an o9 specialist to make contact.[6] See Post-Game Analysis (PGA).
- GenAI composite agents. o9 reported that it signed the first commercial engagement of its GenAI offering in 2024.[9] See GenAI composite agents.
- Smart Planning. A subscription offering launched with Deloitte in 2022 that combines Deloitte planning and data science capabilities with the o9 platform.[8]
- o9 Academy. Per-user training subscriptions of 3, 6 and 12 months.[7] See o9 Academy, certification and partners.
The public pages do not say which solutions are bundled in which offer. That is a matter for the order documents.
Metrics
The information page states the factors on which pricing is scoped per customer: industry and business complexity, the number of users and functions covered, the number and complexity of solutions deployed, and the implementation approach, which may be o9-led, partner-led or hybrid.[1] The catalogue records each as a pricing input.
| Input | Catalogue row | What o9 states |
|---|---|---|
| Users | Number of users | Number of users and functions covered is a factor.[1] |
| Functions | Functions covered | Same factor.[1] |
| Solutions | Solutions deployed | Number and complexity of solutions deployed is a factor.[1] |
| Complexity | Industry and business complexity | Industry and business complexity is a factor.[1] |
| Implementation | Implementation approach | o9-led, partner-led or hybrid approach is a factor.[1] |
These are scoping factors, not defined licence metrics. The page does not define a user, a function or a solution, and it does not say whether the number of users is a cap, a tier or a measured quantity. Quantities, if any, would be in the customer’s order documents.
Counting and floors
No counting rule, minimum or rounding rule is published. o9 states that it is not typically positioned for small businesses, startups or single-site operations and describes a typical customer as having multi-billion-dollar annual revenue and multiple business units.[1] That is a statement about the intended market, not a contractual minimum. o9 Mobile and the platform use role-based access, but no document says that roles are priced differently.[5] See named-user licensing for how user-based metrics are usually defined.
Virtualization and partitioning
Not applicable to the SaaS delivery described by o9. The platform security page lists identity and device management, including single sign-on, domain claiming and support for enterprise mobility management.[10] o9 publishes no policy for virtualization or partitioning.
Cloud and BYOL
o9 states that the platform can be deployed across Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.[3] A 2021 announcement says o9 can deploy on its own Azure tenant or on a client’s Azure tenant.[12] The platform is listed in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, the Google Cloud Marketplace and the AWS Marketplace.[12][13][14] None of these statements describes a bring-your-own-licence right. They describe where the service can run and how it can be purchased. See o9 Academy, certification and partners for marketplace details.
Programs
- Academy corporate subscription. Packages for partner and customer organizations with more than 10 learners.[7]
- Partner Pulse. A partner program with defined requirements and benefits per tier, announced 2026-09-22.[15]
- Cloud marketplace availability. Listings in three hyperscaler marketplaces.
Audits and compliance
No public o9 document describes a licence audit or usage verification right. The Terms of Use apply to the o9solutions.com website and to products, tools and applications offered on or through it. They prohibit benchmarking studies, reverse engineering and redistribution, and state that o9 may terminate access at any time and modify the terms without notice. They are governed by Texas law with exclusive jurisdiction in state or federal courts in Dallas County.[2] They are not the customer’s SaaS agreement. The Vulnerability Disclosure Policy forbids research on o9 systems without explicit authorization and warns that unauthorized activity may result in legal action.[11] o9 states that it holds ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27017, SOC 1, SOC 2, C5 and TISAX certifications.[1] The guide portal that lists the platform API and platform wiki requires a login.[16] See software license audit.
