- FactoryTalk Activation Manager Help 5.01.00: a node-locked activation is locked to a specific piece of hardware (Ethernet card, hard disk or dongle) and used only on that computer. The activation file records the binding as HOSTID; "uncounted" means unlimited use on that host. A dongle binding lets the dongle activate software on any computer it is attached to.
