- Effective 2024-08-01 (as published 2026-09-30): enterprises that created a GitHub Enterprise Cloud trial on or after 2024-08-01 are enrolled in usage-based billing. Customers paying by invoice under a volume, subscription or prepaid agreement stay on it until the agreement expires and may switch to metered billing at renewal. Visual Studio bundled licenses remain on a volume agreement.
