- On-Demand Dedicated Hosts are billed per second (minimum 60 seconds) for each active host regardless of the number or size of instances on it. Dedicated Host Reservations (up to 70% off On-Demand) apply to the instance family in one Availability Zone; a host associated with a reservation cannot be released until the term ends. BYOL software on Dedicated Hosts carries no additional software charge; Amazon-provided Windows Server AMIs cost $0.046 per vCPU-hour in all Regions.
