- About Long Term Retention: cold copies of backup data are stored in Amazon Glacier Deep Archive or Azure Cold Storage to reduce data protection costs.
- Commercial rules
- Limited to Enterprise and Elite editions; only backup sets with retention of one year or more are eligible; LTR data consumes fewer credits; data deleted from the cold tier before 12 months incurs an early delete fee of 0.35 x (12 - months in cold tier) x TB deleted, charged in credits. Not available to AWS Marketplace customers.
