- Workload-based subscriptions buy DDAS according to retention needs (for example 1 TB/day for 365 days needs 365 TB). Ingest-based subscriptions include DDAS for up to 90 days of uncompressed data (100 GB/day gives 9 TB). If ingest exceeds the entitled DDAS, storage expands elastically to honour retention settings and the Splunk General Terms overage policy applies.
