- Definition
- SonarQube Server Supplemental Terms s.1: "“Lines of Code” means the number of lines of code analyzed by SonarQube Server." The licence grant is "to analyze up to the maximum number of Lines of Code specified in the Order".
- Counting rules
- Instance LOC is the sum of the LOC of each project analyzed; a project counts the lines found by the most recent analysis of its largest branch or pull request. Test code, files excluded from analysis, unsupported languages, comments and blank lines are excluded; re-analysing the same code does not consume more; Applications do not count again. In Data Center Edition the LOC from each project in each cluster node is summed.
- Floors / minimums
- The LOC capacity on the Order is a hard limit: analyses that would exceed it are rejected unless LOC overage is active (Enterprise and Data Center, online activation only). Developer Edition is recommended for 100K+ LOC and Enterprise for 1M+ LOC; these are recommendations, not contractual floors.
