- Definition
- Licensing model for SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted: "SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted offers simple, node-based licensing in the following tiers ... The license tiers determine the number of monitored nodes and available features."
- Counting rules
- Each monitored node consumes one licence, except ICMP nodes monitored for availability only, which are free; enabling application monitors, NCM profiles, interfaces or other services makes the node count. In the Premier tier value-based licensing weights entities: containers and wireless access points 10:1, on-premises VMs and cloud entities 3:1, network devices, servers/hosts, orchestrators/wireless controllers, WPM Players and storage arrays 1:1. A licence is a pool of nodes that can be activated wholly on one server or split across several (flexible licensing).
- Floors / minimums
- Enterprise edition available from 500 nodes and required above 1,500 nodes. Premier overages add 25% of the licence or up to 500 nodes, whichever is reached first.
