- Definition
- OpenEdge EULA s.4.2.3: "A Core License grants you the right to run the Product on a single Core, on a single Server." A Core is "a core processor of a CPU as allocated by you ... in both a virtualized and/or non-virtualized environment, and regardless of whether used in a production or non-production (e.g., test, development) environment" (s.3.1.3).
- Counting rules
- Count every Core on every Server on which the Product runs; the total number of Cores on the Server may not exceed the number licensed. Servers for disaster recovery, load balancing, clustering, development, testing and reporting all need Core licences. A Container counts as a separate Server (s.3.1.10).
- Floors / minimums
- None stated; the licence quantity must cover all Cores on each Server running the Product.
