- Parallels RAS counts users connected at the same time, not named users or devices: one user with one or several devices and connections needs one licence (KB 123995). Non-admin RAS or RDP desktop and published application connections consume a licence; administrator published desktop and direct or tunneled RDP desktop connections do not, up to two per RD Session Host. A licence is freed within seconds of the user logging off all sessions (KB 123032). Use above the licensed number is allowed for a 7-day grace period, after which the farm is deactivated while overuse persists.
