- Software Services Agreement §1.8: "Devices means (whether physical or virtual) a server, system, workstation, computer, mobile device, or end point upon which or through which the Services are accessed or used and/or on which the Software is installed." The EULA §1.7 uses the same definition for downloadable Software.
- Counting rules
- Physical and virtual machines are counted alike. Under the EULA each Software licence may be used "on any single Device, unless the Documentation clearly states otherwise" (§2.1(a)); Software is in use on a Device when loaded into temporary memory or installed in permanent memory (§2.1(b)).
