- ThreatDown Software License Agreement s.1(a): devices (including mobile devices), computers or virtual machines ("Devices"), "with each instance of an operating system on a partitioned or virtualized machine counted as a Device."
- Counting rules
- A licence is needed for every Device on which the Software is operated or which it monitors, analyses or protects, and for every Device that can access the Software over a network. Server operating systems need a ThreatDown server product (Server Protection). Within each subscription year up to 10% of licensed Devices may be transferred once to a new Device after uninstalling. The Nebula console shows seats used against seats purchased per subscription.

- No contractual minimum in the EULA. The online store defaults to 5 devices; Malwarebytes for Teams is limited to businesses with no more than 25 Devices.
