Malwarebytes
Malwarebytes makes anti-malware and device security software for consumers and small businesses, plus free tools such as AdwCleaner and Browser Guard. Paid products are annual per-device subscriptions, and free and home editions are licensed for personal, non-commercial use under the Malwarebytes Software License Agreement.
Licensing at a Glance
- Subscription
- Per device
- Free tier
Free, trial and evaluation versions are licensed non-exclusively and non-transferably for the number of devices Malwarebytes permits (a single device if none is specified), with each OS instance on a partitioned or virtualised machine counted as a device, and may not run on server operating systems.[1]
Malwarebytes for Home, free or paid, may be used only for personal, non-commercial purposes and not on any device used in a business; the software may be moved to another device after uninstalling it from the first.[2]
Under a Small Business Exception, a business with no more than 10 devices may use the paid Home software for business purposes under the terms that apply to Malwarebytes for Teams users.[3]
Home consumer software bought directly from Malwarebytes carries a 60-day money-back guarantee that does not apply to renewals or to Personal Data Removal purchases.[4]
Consumer plans such as Standard and Plus are priced per year and start with protection for 3 devices across PC, Mac, Android and iOS.[5]
